When you are in the city of Como, Italy on Lake Como don't miss the chance to ride the funicular up to the small town of Brunate which sits 2346' above Como. Of course, if you are in no hurry you can hike up! The funicular opened way back in 1894. The breathtaking views of the lake and the town below can't be matched anywhere!
